About 70% of Armenians plan to vote at the parliamentary polls on May 6, 2012, head of the Sociometer polling center Agaron Adibekyan said on Wednesday, News Armenia reports.
1650 people were questioned by Sociometer from March 31 to April 1. Voters split into three groups. 40% expect major violations at elections, 36.6% do not rule out violations, 17% expect fair elections. The first two groups make 54%, which gives a sense of positive attitude towards the elections.
Adibekyan noted that 47% of people questioned have decided whom to vote for, 39.9% have not decided yet. The reasons why Armenians want to vote is good propaganda (13.5%), good weather (5%), expectations to resolve personal problems (4.8%), transport provision (3%), good wages (2.8%). 25.5% of people questioned showed no interest in elections at all.
