The heads of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay Cherkessia, Arsen Kanokov and Rashid Temrezov, invited Russian Patriarch Kirill to the Northern Caucasus, RIA Novosti reports.
"We will be glad if you visit our region. It will be a great inspiration for all Orthodox Christians living in the Caucasus," Kanokov told the Patriarch.
For his part, Patriarch Kirill wished the people of the Caucasus peace and well-being.
