Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this morning that there would be no NATO trans-shipment terminal in Ulyanovsk for transit of cargo. Transit of cargo from and to Afghanistan will be subject to Russian customs control.
The US wants a NATO trans-shipment in Ulyanovsk to transport goods to Afghanistan. Cargo will be delivered from Afghanistan to Russia by air, bypassing Uzbekistan. Then it will be taken by train to NATO states.
