An Iranian lawmaker says the measure by the German government to drop Press TV from the SES Astra satellite platform is both illegal and against the West’s claims on advocating freedom of expression, Press TV website informs.
“I believe our diplomatic apparatus should use its legal means to deal with the issue,” Sattar Hedayatkhah, a member of Iran’s Majlis Cultural Committee, said on Thursday.
“The measure itself is both illegal and against international norms, while belying the Western claim of supporting freedom of expression,” he added.
