Some 1622 men travelled to Turkey from Syria in the last few days, Trend cites TRT Haber as saying. This dramatic increase brings the number of Syrian refugees in Turkey to 21,622 people.
Syrian refugees are located in the border camps with Turkey which is continuing to construct additional sites for new arrivals.
Anti-government protests which began in mid-March have persisted in Syria for almost a year. Daily reports are being received about the deaths of people, both civilians and the security forces.
According to UN statistics, the total number of victims in the country exceeds 9000 people. The Syrian authorities accuse armed militants of the clashes saying they receive assistance from neighbouring countries.
