Russia has approved the statement of the UN Security Council on support for the plan developed by Kofi Annan, special envoy of the UN and LAS, to settle the Syrian crisis, RIA Novosti reports.
The UN Security Council published a statement on Thursday demanding Damascus stop military operations by April 10. Discussions of the statement started on Tuesday. The Syrian government is to fulfil obligations set in the plan of Kofi Annan.
