Russian Federation Council’s head begins official visit to Azerbaijan

Head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko has arrived in Baku on Sunday for an official visit, Trend reports.

She was met at the airport by chairman of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov, Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and Russia's ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin.

During her two-day visit to Azerbaijan Matviyenko is expected to meet with the leadership of the country and the Parliament.

She is also expected to visit the Baku Slavic University.
