Israeli surgeons visit Chechnya

A delegation of Israeli oncology surgeons headed by businessman Dmitry Sinitsyn has visited Chechnya. This is the second visit of Israeli doctors to Grozny this year. They read lectures, held seminars and organized reception for dozens of patients, IzRus reports.

A set of agreements was signed with the Chechen government. Israeli specialists will be invited for long-term work in the republic. They discussed training of Chechen oncologists in Israel.

Chechen authorities offer Israeli doctors to open a cancer clinic. About 16,000 adult and 800 children patients need help. Most of them suffer from skin cancer. Lung cancer is less common. Doctors also note cases of breast cancer and brain cancer.

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov met Israeli doctors in late February and promised support.
