North Korean rocket crash suits all

North Korea has failed to launch its satellite into space. The North American Aerospace Command (NORAD) confirmed the fact, RIA Novosti reports.

Kwangmyongsong-3 was launched at 07.38.55 on Friday. The first rocket part fell into the sea 165 km away from Seoul (South Korea). Unha-3 with the Kwangmyongsong-3 launch from the Kholsan in the Pkhenan-Pukto Province was announced on March 16 to mark the 100th anniversary of Kim Chong-Il of April 15.

The launch violates resolutions 1718 and 1874 of the UN Security Council.

G8 foreign ministers say that the launch threatens regional peace and stability. The US says that it violates the international law, the White House press secretary Jay Carney notes.

The Russian Foreign Ministry says that the launch violates resolution 1874 of the UN Security Council. This concerns both military and civil launches. Russia has not sighted Kwangmyongsong-2.
