Azerbaijani president discusses cooperation with World Customs Organization head

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has met Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mukiriya, Trend reports.

Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan is an active member of the organization, noted the conference of customs authorities of European states in Baku. The president expressed confidence that the conference will benefit development of cooperation.

Mukiriya expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan. He noted that the international conference on combating illegal drug trafficking was very fruitful for the World Customs Organization. The secretary general said that a high-ranking conference in Brussels was organized as a result. Mukiriya stressed on presence of good opportunities for further enhancement of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization.
