Georgia plans to simplify customs procedures with Azerbaijan, as stated by Samson Uridia, head of the Department for Foreign Links of the Georgian Customs Service, Trend reports.
The official believes that the initiative would boost business. Cargo registration can be carried out online for the Azerbaijani customs committee. The data would then have the same legal status as it would in Georgia, while inspection would be held in Azerbaijan.
Such project has already been launched with Turkey. Georgia presented the agreement project to simplify customs procedures to Azerbaijan.
