Syria hails UN decision to send observers to the country

The Syrian government welcomes the UN decision to send a group of observers to the country, RIA Novosti reports.

The UN Security Council has passed a resolution authorising the deployment of an advance team of monitors to Syria to oversee the ceasefire there, the BBC reported.
