The chairman of the government of Adjara, Levan Varshalomidze, received a delegation from the Eastern Azerbaijani province of Iran. The delegation of 12 people was headed by the governor, Ahmad Alireza Beygi, Georgia Online reports.
Levan Varshalomidze briefed the guests on the tourist potential of the region and talked about plans for the development of Batumi.
The sides agreed on cooperation in the economy, agriculture, tourism and culture, as well as opening Farsi language courses at the Rustaveli Batumi University.
