The Dendrary and Yuzhniye Kultury Parks will join the Sochi National Park on May 1, Yuga.ru reports.
The reorganization of parks was initiated by the Ministry for Natural Resources and Ecology. The ministry will finance the parks, Director of the Sochi National Park Nicolai Pinkovsky said.
He noted that the arboretums are self-sufficient. The Dendrary and Yuzhniye Kultury will remain arboretum parks.
Some 330 million rubles was spent on the reconstruction of Dendrary. Some 30 million of the sum was spent on designs. 50 million rubles were issued for reconstruction of the Yuzhniye Kultyry Park.
Arboretum parks will be reconstructed for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. Reconstruction will not affect visitors of the parks. Dendrary will have free entrance on May 1.
