Russian Foreign Minister has urged faster setting up of the international monitoring mission in Syria, ITAR-TASS reports.
The minister emphasized the need to implement agreements to have the mission running at full efficiency. He also pointed out foreign influence in Syria. Some states are trying to replace efforts of the UN Security Council with unofficial formats, such as the so-called Friends of Syria Group convincing opposition to scrap dialogue with the Syrian government. That is counter-productive, Lavrov says.
