Three people have been detained in the capital of Karachay-Cherkessia, Cherkessk, with help of reports from locals, Yuga.ru reports.
One of the suspects, Shamil Balkarov, had a gas pistol remodeled into a combat gun. Balkarov sold his friends Igor Laptiyev and Aslan Nartokov away. The police found a cache with two submachine guns and 84 bullets.
The three suspected are believed to be organizers of the blast in Cherkessk in 2011. They built an improvised bomb and tested it in the northern part of Cherkessk outskirts. The police say one of them had weapons planned for attacks on police officers.
