The government of the semi-recognized republic of South Ossetia has resigned after the newly-elected president, Leonid Tibilov, entered office, RIA Novosti reports.
Tibilov was elected president in the second vote. The first vote was declared invalid after opposition candidate Alla Dzhioyeva won the ballot.
Leonid Tibilov was previously the head of the republic's State Security Committee.
