Benny Gantz, Commander of the Israeli Defense Forces, said that they are ready to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, RBC reports.
The official called 2012 a critical moment. He said that Israel is the only country in the world threatened with destruction.
The commander does not expect a war in 2012, although he said the situation in the Middle East could worsen. Should a regional war start, Israel would be prepared for missile attacks from Lebanon and Gaza.
