Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has founded the Nenskaya Dam in Svanetia (Western Georgia). He called it a “grand” and “historic” construction on River Nenskra at the Haishi Village, Trend reports.
The dam will produce 210 MW and will need 5 years for construction. China is investing in the project.
Two rivers will have their streams adjusted. The project will give work to 1,000 people, 90% of whom are locals, Saakashvili said. The dam has received $630 million of investments.
