The Georgian-Czech business forum is being hosted by Tbilisi today. It was opened by the Georgian parliamentary speaker David Bakradze and the chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Business Georgia reports.
The forum was attended by representatives of 20 Czech companies operating in the fields of agricultural products, construction, energy and the financial sectors.
Trade turnover between the countries increased by 5 percent in the last year, amounting to more than $100 million. The volume of Czech investment in the economy of Georgia amounted to about 350 million dollars.
The Czech delegation headed by the chairman of the Senate arrived in Georgia on a two-day visit on April 22.
