Obama plans to strengthen sanctions against al-Assad regime

US President Barack Obama has pledged to continue to strengthen sanctions against the Syrian regime to deprive it of means of existence, RIA-Novosti reports.


He recalled that he had signed a decree today, according to which sanctions will be imposed against individuals and companies helping the Syrian and Iranian authorities to oppose citizen's human rights based on the latest technologies.
