The main servers of Iranian petroleum websites have suffered from cyber attacks, Gazeta.ru reports.
The Oil and Gas Ministry and the Gulf petroleum terminal had their websites shut down. Local media say that exports and production of petroleum were not halted.
Iran formed a special committee to counter cyber attacks. Iran accused the US and Israel of activating virus infiltration in 2010 to infest servers of nuclear industry.
Relations with Iran became tenser after Tehran’s refusal to allow IAEA inspectors to visit its nuclear facilities. The West suspects Iran of developing nuclear weapons. Tehran denies all accusations.
