Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev ordered obligatory warranty when recruiting new police officers, Gazeta.ru reports.
According to the order, police officers will only be recruited under warranty of officers who served for at least 3 years. Moscow Police Chief Vladimir Kolokoltsev said that commanders, recruiters and warrantors are responsible for any violations of their officers.
Relatives cannot be warrantors. A warrantor must have the same or higher rank as the recruited officer. However, the minister’s order does not set the rules for registering warranty.
