Georgia to secure LGBT rights

The Georgian Criminal Code has recently been amended in order to secure LGBT rights, the Russian newspaper Vzglyad reports.

The new version of the criminal code spells out that hate crimes against gay and transgender people should be punished severely.

The measure was taken in the framework of the series of democratic reforms being implemented in the country.
