Russian Muslims’ Union founded in Moscow

The Russian Muslims’ Union was founded in Moscow on Thursday. Leaders of women’s organizations of Russia, CIS, Turkey, scientists, state and public officials arrived for the forum, Interfax reports.

Head of the Mufti Council Ravil Gaynutdin noted the important role of women in society. He also noted that followers of Islam have hard times in the light of false images of Islam and Muslims. The official emphasized that there are many cases of criticisms over the position of Muslim females in the family and discrimination by employers.
