Ivanishvili’s TV channel to be launched in Georgia

The 9 Channel TV Company of Georgian opposition figure Bidzina Ivanishvili will start broadcasting at 9 pm on April 30, Vzglyad reports.

Head of the channel Kakha Bekauri said that they will start broadcasing with news hosted by Natia Lazashvili, a notable host of the Rustavi-2 Channel and former press secretary of oppositionist Levan Gachechiladze.

Bekauri said that the full broadcasting network will be formed in the summer. Georgian media stared publishing parameters of the channel on Thursday.

Bidzina Ivanishvili owned the 9th Channel in late 90s and closed it after the Rose Revolution of 2003. He guaranteed full independence of the channel.
