Russian museums to be presented at Russian-Abkhaz forum

The State Hermitage and Russian Museum will be presented at the First Russian-Abkhaz Humanitarian Forum at the government building in Abkhazia on Friday, RIA Novosti reports.

Sukhumi will host the forum. Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov will arrive. Alexander Tkachyov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory and special representative of the Russian president to Abkhazia, Secretary of the Russian Public Chamber Yevgeny Velikhov, MPs, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Culture Ministry and others will arrive.

Victor Gorbatko, an astronaut of the USSR and twice Hero of the Soviet Union, will arrive for the forum.

Talks will concern civil institutes, young people, education and science, bilateral public dialogue, joint humanitarian projects, regional studies, history and archeology, mass media.

The reconstructed Cultural Center and Boarding School in Ochamchir will be presented. They were financed by the program for socio-economic development of Abkhazia in 2010-2012.

On Friday, Russia and Abkhazia will sign an agreement on cooperation in education; Karachay-Cherkessia and Abkhazia in trade-economic, science and cultural cooperation; Russian Kurchatov Institute and Sukhumi Institute for Physics and Technique will sign a cooperation deal; the Moscow State Law Academy of O.Y. Kutafin and the Abkhaz State University will sign a memorandum on science and education cooperation; the Society for Friendship with Abkhaz People and the Abkhazia-Russia Public Friendship will sign a cooperation agreement.
