The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan is expanding ties with Turkey, President of the Academy Mahmoud Kerimov said at a meeting with Turkish Minister for Science, Industry and Technologies Nihad Ergun, 1news.az reports.
The academy has about 40 science research institutes. The Turkish minister expressed hope for further development of ties. He noted cooperation in developing advanced technologies
Kerimov said that Azerbaijan has no separate ministry for science, so it is a job of the academy. It has about 10,000 people operating and supervises the national education strategy for 2015.
