721 militants have surrendered in Syria, about 250 of them surrendered in Hama, 230 in Damascus and 230 in Idlib, RIA Novosti reports.
The cease-fire in Syria came into force on April 12. So far, 1,300 violations have been registered. They happened in the village of Arbin in Damascus Province and Turkuman-Barih in Aleppo Province. Terrorists are still active in Hama, the outskirts of Damascus and Deyr az-Zor and Aleppo Provinces.
Syrian human rights observers in London reported on April 16, 2012 that 462 people, including 34 children, were killed when international observers arrived.
Observers arrived to monitor fulfillment of the plan proposed by Kofi Annan, special envoy of the UN and the LAS. The UN Security Council approved the arrival of up to 300 people to Syria on April 21.
