The US military leadership has ordered to transport F-22 Raptor battle planes to the base of the Allies in less than 300 kilometers from the Iranian border, "Kommersant" reports referring to the Western media.
The US Air Force has rejected allegations that the emergence of battle planes in the Persian Gulf is a demonstration of force and is connected with possible strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. Washington has claimed that the operation is part of the "security cooperation with regional partners," Fox News reports.
Officials from the US Air Force refuse to give the number of battle planes that have been transported to the region and the name of the base, where they are stationed. However, informed sources told Fox News that the planes are stored at the "Al Dafra" base in the United Arab Emirates.
