Iranian MPs have approved the budget for the forthcoming 2010-2011 year (in Iran the year starts on March 21), Trend reports quoting Iranian mass media.
The budget was approved with 168 votes for, 26 against and five abstentions. According to the draft, this year Iranian budget will total more than $368 billion.
After the approval of the budget by parliament it goes to the Guardian Council for consideration and approval.
