The first columns in Moscow have made their marches from the mayor's office along Tverskaya Street to Manezhnaya Square. Attendees of the meeting went to Mokhovaya Street to the Pashkov House at Znamenka. The police said that the meeting at the Arbatskaya Subway Station is ending, Interfax reports.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin attended the meeting marking the Day of Spring and Labour, RIA Novosti reports.
Medvedev and Putin talked with other participants for 10 minutes, congratulated them and left. Sergey Naryshkin, Speaker of Parliament and head of the Moscow Association of Trade Unions of Defense Industry, arrived.
About 120,000 people are meeting in Moscow, although 100,000 were planned, Isayev said. Over 5,000 people of United Russia are attending.
Marches started at the Moscow Mayor's Office at 10 am.
