Armenia’s state debt comprised 40.7 percent of the country's GDP, or US$ 4.13 billion, in the first quarter of 2012, Deputy Finance Minister and Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan told reporters recently, News.am informs.
According to him, the country’s foreign debt made up 36.1 percent of GDP, or $3.568 billion, and domestic debt was $560 million.
In the first quarter of 2011, Armenia’s state debt was $4.20 billion, of which $3.634 billion was foreign and $562 million was domestic debt.
