The Israel-Azerbaijan (AzIz) Association has joined the Congress of European Azerbaijanis (CEA). The congress has recently held its fourth meeting in Berlin.
AzIz Director General Lev Spivak became the CEO of the CEA. The official said that there is no controversy in AzIz’s joining the CEA.
Spivak noted that many Jews in Azerbaijan call it their homeland, just as they would call Israel. They love its land, people, language and traditions. Many activities of AzIz coincided with those of public organizations formed by Azerbaijanis abroad. Spivak adds that the organization wants to tell the truth about Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Joining the CEA should allow them to coordinate activities and take part in international activities.
