Russian president awards chief of Central Electoral Commission

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev decorated the head of the Central Electoral Commission, Vladimir Churov, with the order of Alexander Nevsky on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.

Vladimir Churov has been notorious since the December 4th parliamentary elections that were declared unfair by all opposition parties and international observers.

The Russian opposition has been demanding Churov's resignation ever since.
