Turkey's main opposition party shaken by Tekin resignation

The vice president of Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Gürsel Tekin has just resigned from his post in the party, Hürriyet Daily News has reported.

The resignation came following a one hour meeting with the party head Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu yesterday. Tekin reportedly complained about the behavior of certain party members during group meetings.

Kılıçdaroğlu refused to accept Tekin's resignation, Hürriyet reported.

Tekin's future in the party remains uncertain for now.
