Residents of Karachai-Cherkessia mark Revival Day on May 3rd, the local government's press service reports.
On Revival Day the head of the republic, Rashid Temrezov, visited the memorial of the Soviet deporation of the Karachai people.
"Despite terrible losses, the Karachai people managed to survive, preserve their national indentity and uphold their right to live in their native land," Temrezov said.
