The Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL) will recommend that Grozny host FIFA World Cup 2018 matches, EPFL CEO David Richards said at a meeting with Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
13 cities are bidding to host the games. They include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Sochi, Yaroslavl, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan. The final list of 11 cities is expected in autumn 2012.
