The police have found a skull fragment of a female at the blast spot in Makhachkala, Interfax reports.
Investigators say that the terrorist attacks were organized by a male and a female. One of them is 23-year old Rizvan Aliyev. The female terrorist is being identified. The police believe that she was Aliyev’s sister Muslimat.
They both left home in late April and joined militants.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the first blast happened in Makhachkala on Thursday at 10.20 am, the second blast 10 minutes later. The first one was equivalent to about 50 kg of TNT, the second to 100 kg of TNT. Both contained projectiles.
Dagestani Interior Minister Abdurashid Magomedov noted that a list of suspects was being composed.
