Senator Ahmed Bilalov, CEO of the Northern Caucasus Resorts, said that construction of the Lagonaki resorts in Krasnodar Territory and Adygeya does not violate Russian law, ITAR-TASS reports.
An ecologist of the North Caucasus, Andrey Rudomakhi, said that the construction process harms the environment.
Bilalov replied that the construction is not being carried out on the lands of the resort protected by UNESCO. The ecologist warned that he will address the court.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed order N603, listing sites for construction.
