Vladimir Putin took on Monday the office of Russian president. Putin put his right hand on the Constitution and made an oath, after which the head of the Constitutional Court announced his entry into the post: "Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin took office as President of the Russian Federation."
"The inauguration of new President is always a new stage in the history of the country ... Russian strength was tested for several times, and we had to repel the aggressors ... I wish every success to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin as the president of Russia," said at the inauguration ceremony Dmitry Medvedev.
