Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent messages of congratulation marking the 67th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of May 9 to CIS states, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Georgia, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin noted the heroism of the veterans of the war and expressed proposals to continue development of cooperation.
Georgia was the only exception. Putin addressed only its citizens, not the president.
Russia has made numerous statements refusing to have a dialogue with the current Georgian government.
