Alexander Popov has replaced Anatoly Ledovskikh as head of the Russian Federal Agency for Subsurface Resources, Acting Minister for Natural Resources Yuri Trutnev said on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.
Popov entered office on May 1.
The federal agency is under supervision of the Russian Ministry for Natural Resources and Ecology. It specializes in geological exploration, reproduction of resources and their exports.
Ledovskikh has been managing the organization since March 2004.
