Turkmen trade turnover increased by 48.7% in Jan-Apr 2012, Trend reports.
The government plans further development of foreign economic relations. The president's new order is to form coordinating working groupsto conclude contracts. All necessary procedures to form stock companies or joint ventures with the state share of at least 51% have a month to be carried out.
Turkmenistan's main exporters are Iran, Russia, China, Georgia, Italy, Turkey, Afghanistan. The main importers are Turkey, China, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, France and Germany.
Turkmenistan has trade agreements with 27 states. 85% of exports is petroleum, oil, textiles and other goods.
