Terrorist attacks prevented in Sochi

Special services of Russia and Abkhazia have prevented terrorist attacks planned for the Olympic Games in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.

About 10 caches with weapons, explosives and ammo were found in Abkhazia on May 4-5. They included three Iglas and Strelas, two anti-tank guided shots, a mortar and 36 shots, a Shmel flame thrower, 29 grenade launchers, 655 shots for attached grenade launchers, 39 grenades and 50 fuses, a sniper rifle, two sub-machine guns, 15 kg of TNT, over 10,000 bullets and topography materials.

Three leaders of the Imarat Kavkaz were arrested. The police learned that international terrorist Doku Umarov has close ties with Georgian special services. He was coordinating terrorist attacks around Sochi.
