Iran launches factory for railway concentrate

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has attended the launch of the largest railway concentrate factory in eastern Iran at the Sengann Mine of the Hafa District of Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran News reports.

Director General Ravanbakhsh Amiri said that it is the largest national project in the country’s east. It will produce 2.6 million tons of railway concentrate annually and provide jobs for about 1,000 people.

Construction took 3 years. About $290 million was invested in the national currency and $129.5 million in foreign currency to build the facility.
