A ‘protest’ walk with writers and musicians has gathered about 2,000 people in downtown Moscow, RIA Novosti cites the Moscow police press office as saying on Sunday.
Participants claim that about 10 thousand people took part in the event.
“The event called ‘the control walk’ has ended. Its participants created difficulties for road traffic while no other public order violations were registered,” the press office said.
The idea of a ‘protest walk’ was suggested by writer Boris Akunin who actively participated in protests against the alleged election fraud in winter.
