Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the resignation of Alexander Misharin, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Territory, and appointed Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Ural Federal District, as the Acting Governor of the region, RIA Novosti reports.
Misharin resigned voluntarily. Kuyvashev has left the office as the Plenipotentiary Envoy.
