A delegation of the Kazakh Temir Zholy Company has visited Iran and Turkmenistan. Iranian railway officials showed the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran Railway construction to the Kazakh delegation at Gorgan, KAZINFORM reports.
The Kazakh section of the railway has been launched. Iran will conclude most of its work by the end of 2012.
The Kazakh delegation visited Bandar-Abbas, a port on the coast of the Gulf, where it studied the transport and logistical potential. The port will further be used for transport of Kazakh cargo south.
Kazakh officials had business meetings in Iran. It visited the Perse Intl Forwarding Company Ltd (a branch of the Interrail Company in Tehran), met its Managing Director Parviz Golabi. A meeting was organized with Ibrahim Aziz, Governor of the Hormozgan Province.
