Turkish PM urges opposition to clarify its position on Syria

The Turkish opposition, which always criticises Ankara's role on the Syrian issue, should clarify its position on this issue, Trend quotes Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying.

"The opposition, in particular the Republican People's Party, criticises Ankara's interference in the Syrian crisis. That party has not yet demonstrated its position in this matter," Erdogan said.

He said Turkey cannot remain silent in the face of violence and injustice in neighbouring countries. The policy "zero problems with neighbours" does not mean indifference to what is happening in the region, Erdogan said.

Erdogan once again called on regional and Muslim countries to take steps to settle the Syrian crisis.
